The club exists because a group of players walked out of Mighty Wanderers in 1967 and started again on their own.
The name has moved with whoever was paying. Nyasaland Bullets first, then Bata Bullets, then Bakili Bullets, and Nyasa since 2016, when Nyasa Manufacturing Company came in as the main partner. What has not moved is the red shirt and the nickname supporters gave the side themselves.
Home is Kamuzu Stadium, the old Chichiri ground, with a listed capacity of 65,000.
Beyond the border the record thins out quickly.
