The 2003 Grand Final was the one they still talk about. A goal down to O'Connor Knights, the fiercest opponents the Serbian side had in Canberra, the White Eagles came back to win 2–1.

Twice the trophies counted for less than the paperwork. In 2000 and again in 2006 the club won its division and was refused promotion to the Premier League: not enough junior teams to meet the entry requirements. The pattern of winning the second tier and staying in it hardened from there. The undefeated season of 2004 brought the league and the Grand Final; 2012 brought another unbeaten campaign; 2013 was settled with rounds to spare.

What finally broke the cycle was the thing the administrators had been asking for. A revival programme launched in 2022 built the youth sides out, and this season the club is back in NPL ACT, currently 11th. The most recent title before that was NPL 2 in 2019, decided on goal difference, under Graeme Plath.

Home is Boomanulla Enclosed Oval in Narrabundah, a thousand capacity, red shirts and blue shorts.

Canberra's Serbian community had already put three teams into local football — Farrer United, Mawson Serbia, Canberra United — and all of them had folded by 1990.
