That coming together happened in September 2019, when Football Tasmania announced that Clarence United and Hobart Zebras would become one club. The launch followed in November, and the new side entered the National Premier Leagues Tasmania for the 2020 season.

Black and white came from the Zebras, who took their stripes from Juventus; the red is Clarence United's.

Clarence United's 2009 was the neater year: the Forestry Tasmania State Championship and the statewide Lakoseljac Cup in the same season. In the Milan Lakoseljac Cup it has reached the quarter-finals four times and, in 2023, the semi-finals.

Among the names attached to the older half is Dominic Longo, who started out in the youth ranks at Hobart Juventus, the club that later became the Zebras, and went on to play for the Socceroos.
