Riverside

Windsor Park sits in the Launceston suburb the club takes its name from, and the football team is only one of the tenants: an Australian rules side, a cricket club and the local little athletics centre all work off the same ground. Riverside Olympic play there in orange shirts.

The Northern Premiership has come to the club seven times. Three of them ran together — 1990, 1991, 1992 — and then the run repeated at the end of the decade before a long gap and a return in 2018. Before any of that came 1973, when Riverside took the northern title and then went down in the State Championship final.

In 2019 the women's side took the Northern Championship.

Nathaniel Atkinson, who went on to win the A-League Championship with Melbourne City in 2021 and became the first Tasmanian in the Socceroos since 1998, playing at the Tokyo Olympics and then the 2022 World Cup.

The senior and junior arms of the club ran separately for decades and only merged in November 2016 into the single body that exists now. In 1967 a group in Riverside bought the kit and gear of Patons & Baldwins, a works club that had just been wound up, and began again with it.
