Alex Arruda, who came through Serrano's own youth ranks before taking over as football director and coach at Vera Cruz, the squad that took the field in 2023 averaged 19.3 years. That approach paid off at Under-15 level, where Vera Cruz beat EC Corrêas to the municipal title in 2022.
Partnered with Magé Voleibol, the club's men's volleyball section won the Campeonato Municipal de Voleibol Masculino de Petrópolis four years running, from 2021 to 2024.
Matches are played at the Estádio Atílio Marotti. The rivalry with Serrano remains informal, without a name attached to it.
