Fgura United

Fgura sits in Malta's Southern Harbour district, at the Fgura United Football Complex, a ground that holds barely a thousand people. The club took shape there on 1 June 1971, and it has spent most of the years since shuttling between the lower divisions.

The clearest marker of what Fgura United has built came in 2013–14, when the team won the Second Division, known as the Challenge League, and went up to the First Division. They made the most of it that first season, finishing fifth and stringing together an unbeaten run of fifteen matches.

Earlier promotions, from the Third Division in 1987–88 and again in 2011–12, mark the other end of the club's history.

Ryan Fenech, once capped for Malta, took over as head coach in 2026, following a line that includes Edward Darmanin, another former international, who coached the side between 2007 and 2009.
