Inter Basket

For 28 years the club carried the name of Slovnaft. It started in 1963 as BK Inter Slovnaft, became BK AŠK Inter Slovnaft in 1991, and was renamed BK Inter Bratislava in 2004. In 2025 it took a new name again, BC Slovan Bratislava. The sky blue shirts gave it the nickname Belasí, the Sky Blues, and the colours of sky blue, white and dark blue have outlasted every rebrand.

The first great run came while Bratislava's teams still played in the Czechoslovak league. Inter won that championship four times, in 1978–79, 1979–80, 1982–83 and 1984–85. The Slovak Cup went to Bratislava in 1996, 2003, 2015 and 2016, and most recently in 2025, the year of the rebrand.

The home court has changed names as often as the club. It was the Hala Pasienky, then the Hant Arena, and is now the Gopass Arena. It seats 3,200, and the capacity can be stretched to 4,500 for the bigger nights.

Foreign players have passed through as well. Alando Tucker was here for the 2012–13 season, the first of the recent championship years. RJ Gunn and Dontay Caruthers played in 2024–25. Dejan Jakara is the current head coach.

The name most tied to the club, though, belongs to an earlier era. Stanislav Kropilák (1955–2022) played for Inter from 1976 to 1985. He is regarded as the best Slovak basketball player of the 20th century, and he was inducted into the FIBA Hall of Fame.
