Kosice Wolves claimed a 84:79 victory over Inter Basket in the Extraliga on Friday evening, 17 October 2026. The result sees both clubs remain level on points after five matches each. Inter Basket sit fourth while Kosice Wolves occupy third place in the standings.
The table tells a strange story. Both teams have played five games, won two, lost three, and sit on zero points. It is an unusual situation where the gap between positions is measured in something other than points.
Inter Basketball arrived with mixed recent form. They suffered a heavy 50:100 defeat to Pievidza last weekend, but had beaten Svit 82:81 and Komarno 81:74 in earlier matches. The loss to Pievidza was the most recent result before this fixture.
Kosice Wolves came off a tough run as well. Their last outing was a 85:108 loss to Levicze, and before that a 77:104 defeat to Pievidza. They had beaten Svit 80:66 and lost to Slovan Bratislava 59:94 in their previous four games.
The two-point margin keeps the third and fourth positions on the table level. Both sides carry identical records into their next fixtures, and the standings will shift only when someone picks up a win.
