Spojnia Stargard

Spojnia Stargard opened the 2017–18 campaign in the second tier and closed it with promotion to the top flight. A 3–0 sweep of Sokół Łańcut in the playoffs sealed the I Liga title and promotion to the top flight, a return to a level the team had last reached as runners-up in the 1996–97 Polish Basketball League final, beaten by Znicz Pruszków.

The club traces back to September 1949, when it was formed as a multi-sport society under the name LKS Spójnia; basketball followed as a separate section four years later. Sponsorship has rewritten the name on the shirt more than once, from Komfort Forbo to the current PGE backing, but the colours have stayed white and burgundy, giving the team its nickname, Biało-Bordowi.

Krzysztof Koziorowicz scored 4,911 points in a Spojnia shirt.

Games against King Szczecin carry their own name, the West Pomeranian Derby. Spojnia plays its derbies and every other home fixture at Hala Miejska, the Municipal Hall in Stargard, a ground that holds 2,500.
