In 2019 TS Galaxy beat Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup final. No team from outside the Premier Soccer League (PSL) had won the trophy before. In 2020 it bought its top-flight status from Highlands Park.

The U23 side, known as the Reserves or the Diski Team, entered the DStv Diski Challenge, the league for under-23 sides, in 2019/20. Phuphu Mohlaba took over as coach in 2020. The team has won neither the league title nor the Diski Shield. Its best run in the Shield ended in the quarter-finals in 2022, with a 0-1 defeat to Chippa United U23.

Kamogelo Sebelebele was promoted to the seniors in 2022 and joined Orlando Pirates in 2025. Ethan Brooks came through the academy and has been called up by Bafana Bafana. Lakham Gqongo moved up in 2025/26.

Home games are split. Solomon Mahlangu Stadium in KwaMhlanga holds 15,000, but the Reserves also play at Tsakane Stadium in Brakpan. When fixtures require it, they play at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit or elsewhere.

The club's rivals are TS Sporting FC. Their meetings are called the Mpumalanga Derby.
