Sekhukhune United U23

Sekhukhune United belong to Polokwane, in Limpopo, yet their under-23 side turn out in Vanderbijlpark, in Gauteng province, at the 5,000-seat Isak Steyl Stadium. The reserves were already in the DStv Diski Challenge, South Africa's under-23 league, in 2023/24. There they meet Polokwane City U23, the youth version of the Limpopo derby between the two senior clubs.

The senior club began in 2019 as African All Stars and took the Sekhukhune United name a year later. The badge is a white shield with burgundy outlines. Inside it a porcupine faces a football, and the porcupine is the Babina Noko of the club's Pedi nickname, which is also given as Dinoko. The colours are red and black, with white trim.

The club's route to the first team runs through more than one door. Elias Mokwana arrived from Platinum City Rovers and went on to a Bafana Bafana call-up. Keletso Makgalwa, a Mamelodi Sundowns academy graduate, signed in July 2024. In July 2025 the club opened an academy of its own in partnership with Generation Schools.

The senior team moved quickly. They won the National First Division in 2020-21, the season after the rename. In 2022-23 they reached the Nedbank Cup final, when the club was four years old.
