Karabobo kept Real Esppor at bay with a 1-0 win in the Clausura tenth round of the First Division on 15 September. The result keeps the hosts in fifth place while the visitors remain third after both sides had played 23 matches. Karabobo sit on 36 points with five defeats to their name, while Real Esppor hold 43 with just four losses. The gap of seven points means the visitors still have an outside chance of closing the distance, but this result changed the momentum in the lower half of the table. Karabobo will take the point from the run and look to build on it.
