Early in 2026, Estrella del Sur moved into something else entirely: the Estadio Ciudad de San Vicente, built inside the Polideportivo Padre Mugica in Alejandro Korn, with room for 8,000.

Cristian Espinosa left the academy and went on to play in MLS; Gonzalo Escobar moved through Fortaleza in Brazil; Gabriel Hauche played for General Caballero in Paraguay. Julián Eseiza, who came up through Banfield and Godoy Cruz, returned to Estrella del Sur in 2026.

On the bench now is Mariano Campodónico, a forward who once played across Argentina's top flight with Banfield, Platense and San Martín de San Juan, and who has taken the side into the Liga Metropolitana. Under a previous coach, Agustín "Titi" Wallasch, the club reached the semi-finals of the Torneo Regional Federal Amateur in 2023, representing the Liga de Fútbol de San Vicente and drawing 1-1 with Matienzo in the north-zone cup.
