Republic of Fa came from behind to beat Buxdu 2:1 in the Pro-League A regular season on Wednesday. The visitors took all three points after Buxdu had gone ahead through A. Hojimurodov in the eighteenth minute.
And here's the thing about Hojimurodov's goal — it came early enough to give Buxdu confidence, but not early enough to settle them. The home side dominated possession in those opening half-hours, working the channels as they tried to break down a compact defence.
J. Kopaysinov levelled things at the twenty-sixth minute, and by then Buxdu were looking uncomfortable. To be fair, their best opportunity had come and gone, and Republic of Fa showed more composure in the final third when it mattered.
Nuriddinov provided the decisive blow in the fifty-first minute. One mistake ends it in this league, and Buxdu's defence failed to clear properly after a corner. Republic of Fa took the lead and never looked like surrendering it.
The result keeps Republic of Fa in eleventh place with sixteen points from seventeen games. Buxdu remain twelfth on ten points after eighteen matches, and are running out of games to turn their season around.
Republic of Fa's recent form has been uneven — they lost 2:3 to Fardu on Tuesday after beating Kattaqurgan 3:1. Buxdu have not won since early August, losing four of their last five across all competitions.
