The Palace of Sports Dynamo there became home to a women's team that carried the capital's name outright: BC Moscow, in blue and orange, sometimes pictured with a tiger.
The club did not start from nothing in 2007. It grew out of Dynamo Moscow, a women's side founded in 1923 and known at various points as Dynamo Podmoskovye and Trinta, rebranded that summer under a new legal entity registered on 5 July 2007. Zakaluzhnaya and Danilochkina were part of that run, alongside the Australian-born Pearson.
Domestically, BC Moscow never matched that European push. Fifth place in the Russian Championship of 2008 stood as the club's best league finish, and no Russian Cup or title followed. The team continued in the Premier League through the following years, but by August 2016 the organisation was liquidated, closing out a name that had carried Moscow's basketball history under Dynamo for eight decades before taking it on directly for less than a decade of its own.
