Saint-Georges

Twice, seven years apart, the Garaga name went on the Allan Cup — 2002 and 2004 — Canada's senior amateur championship, won in the years the club still carried its old sponsor's name.

The franchise started elsewhere: it was founded in 1996 as the Rive-Sud Jackals in the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League. Two years on it moved to Saint-Georges and joined the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, and the sponsor's name has changed with the money since — Garaga until 2005, then CRS Express, then Cool FM 103.5, which the club still carries.

Frédéric Vermette played through that first sponsor era, took the Maurice Richard Trophy as the league's top scorer in 1999 with 33 goals, and later went into the LNAH Hall of Fame. Jean Blouin topped the league in 2002 with 42.

The team plays out of the Centre Sportif Lacroix-Dutil in navy blue, silver and gold, colours that replaced the old Garaga blue, white and black. It seats 2,476.
