SDE HF W

Stocksunds IF, Danderyds SK and Enebybergs IF folded their women's sections into one team in 2007, borrowing a letter from each name for the result: SDE.

Getting into the SDHL, Sweden's top flight, took until 2014. For four seasons running, from 2015–16 to 2018–19, SDE kept dropping into the Kvalserien to fight its way back rather than settling into the league. That instability makes the club's recent run look sharper by contrast: back-to-back semi-final appearances in 2024–25 and 2025–26, the deepest the club has gone without ever lifting an SM-guld.

Danijela Rundqvist has worn the SDE shirt among the club's Swedish internationals, part of a squad that has increasingly drawn abroad, with Swiss forward Phoebe Stänz and Canadian goaltender Kassidy Sauvé among the imports who have passed through Enebybergs Ishall.

None of that history plays out in isolation, since Stockholm carries three SDHL clubs at once. SDE, AIK and Djurgården meet often enough, and close enough to home, that their fixtures have earned a name of their own: Slaget om Stockholm, the Battle for Stockholm, where local pride counts for as much as the league table.
