Frölunda W

Frölunda swept Luleå HF 3–0 in the 2025 SDHL final to take the Swedish championship, breaking a run of seven straight titles Luleå had held before that series. It came in only the team's second season in Sweden's top flight.

The senior women's side did not exist until Frölunda's board decided, in October 2021, to move up a launch originally pencilled in for 2023/24 and put a team on the ice a year early instead.

The run to the 2025 title was built around scorers brought in from outside Sweden as much as from within it: Elisa Holopainen finished as the club's top scorer that season, with Michelle Karvinen and Sydney Brodt also part of the group that dismantled Luleå in the final. Behind the bench sat Erika Holst, who took the team from its NDHL breakthrough to the sweep that ended Luleå's hold on the league.
