Luleå HF Women

Luleå sits on the Bothnian coast, and for the past decade its winters have belonged to a hockey team that did not exist before 2015. Luleå HF/MSSK Dam came together that year out of the women's sections of Luleå HF and Munksund Skuthamn SK.

Since then the pattern has barely broken: seven Swedish Championships, most recently in 2024, and seven regular-season titles alongside them. In 2018 the team added a Champions Cup, beating the NWHL's Metropolitan Riveters 4–2.

Emma Nordin built her career on the back of that run, finishing as the club's all-time leading scorer with 373 points, while Jenni Hiirikoski has made more appearances than anyone else to wear the jersey. The rivalry that still defines the club's calendar is the Norrland derby against Skellefteå AIK, two clubs from the same stretch of northern Sweden fighting for a region as much as a table.

Home games are played in front of red, black, white and yellow at the Coop Norrbotten Arena, a building that holds 6,150 but has taken in crowds of 6,220 when the derby demanded it.
