Djurgården W

Djurgården's fiercest opposition in Stockholm women's hockey wears AIK's colours, and the meetings between them are billed as the Tvillingderbyt — the Twin Derby.

The women's team itself is a far younger creation. Djurgårdens IF announced the section on 25 March 2014, with former national team player Danijela Rundqvist put in charge of recruitment and Jared Cipparone brought in as head coach. A year later the club absorbed Segeltorps IF. The new team spent its first season in Damettan, the second tier, then beat Södertälje in the promotion playoffs to reach Riksserien, making its top-flight debut against Linköping HC on 9 September 2015.

Andrea Dalen scored 47 goals in 36 matches that first Riksserien season. The team she helped build reached its peak in 2016–17, beating HV71 in a best-of-three final: 1–0 away, then 4–3 at home, Hanna Olsson scoring the winner. Kim Martin Hasson was part of that title run and later moved into the role of sports director. It remains the club's only Swedish championship.

Home games are played at Hovet, on the Stockholm ice since 1955 apart from a stretch in the late 1980s and 1990s when the men's team shifted to the Globen arena next door.
