Linköping HC Women

Denise Altmann spent long enough in a Linköping shirt that the club retired her number, 22, when she finished — the all-time leading scorer for a team that did not exist until the spring of 2006, formed to be the best women's side in Sweden. It debuted in the Riksserien, now the SDHL, in 2008–09 and finished fourth in each of its first two seasons before taking a first bronze in 2010–11.

The breakthrough came in 2013–14 and 2014–15, when Linköping won back-to-back Swedish Championships. The second of those titles ran through a season in which the team lost only once — an overtime defeat to Leksand in the first semi-final. Three more finals followed within five years, against Frölunda, Brynäs and Luleå, and each ended without the gold.

The team plays at Stångebro Ishall, in blue, white and red. Supporters and local press call the club simply Cluben.

Two SM-gold, three runner-up finishes, one bronze: five finals reached inside a decade that began with fourth place.
