PAOK opened their Super League 1 campaign with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Levadiakos at the Tumba Stadium on Saturday evening. The hosts took control early and never looked back, moving to the top of the table with six points from two games.
First-half dominance
Shoretire broke the deadlock in the 36th minute, picking up two bookings in five minutes would have been harsh on the visitors at that stage. Pelkas doubled the advantage four minutes later, and by then Levadiakos were already looking shell-shocked. The home side kept their heads when they could have let the occasion get to them.
The second half brought a flurry of changes. Papadopoulos and Nikas came off together at the interval, while Taylor and Ndiaye joined forces shortly after. Emmanouilidis followed, and then Pelkas was replaced in the 71st minute.
Goals and statistics
Mythou grabbed the third goal in the 72nd minute, and Zivkovic converted a penalty in the 89th to complete the scoring. PAOK registered 10 shots with five on target, while the visitors managed just one shot on target from five attempts. The hosts dominated possession at 54 per cent and created three big chances compared to the opposition's one.
There were 95 attacks against 98 for Levadiakos, but quality over quantity told. PAOK completed 419 passes with 85 failures, while the away side managed 360 successful passes against 62 errors. The shot accuracy figures tell the story—38 per cent for the hosts versus 13 per cent for the visitors.
What the result means is straightforward. PAOK sit top of the table with a perfect record, while Levadiakos remain rooted to 14th place with zero points from two defeats. The gap between them is now six points, and the home side extended their unbeaten run to eight matches across all competitions.
