Piast Gliwice and Wisła Kraków met at the Municipal Stadium in Gliwice on Saturday evening, August 15th, in the fourth round of the Ekstraklasa regular season. The hosts led 3-1 before the visitors turned the match on its head, finishing 3-4. Three goals in the final minutes gave Kraków all three points away from home.
Christensen opened the scoring for Piast after six minutes, a simple finish that caught the defence sleeping. And here's the thing — the hosts looked comfortable for long stretches, playing with the freedom that comes from having the ball. They pushed forward, crossed, but couldn't quite turn possession into something more.

The statistics tell a story that doesn't quite match the result. Piast held 55 per cent possession, made 109 attacks compared to Kraków's 85, and created only two big chances while the visitors created five. Six shots on target for the hosts, seven for the visitors. Many shots with one goal means chances went begging for Piast.
What this means is that Kraków, sitting 17th with four points from six games, have found something. Piast, sixth with ten points from seven, will be looking for reassurance. The table doesn't change much, but the mood might.
