Jozo Stanić

Jozo Stanić came through FC Augsburg's academy, having started out in the youth ranks at FC Stätzling and TSV Schwaben Augsburg before joining the Bundesliga club in 2014. He spent five seasons with FC Augsburg II in the Regionalliga Bayern, making 43 league appearances and scoring once, and earned a single senior appearance for the first team in the Bundesliga in 2019.

The path to regular football ran through a series of loans. At FSV Zwickau he made 36 league appearances in the 3. Liga, scoring one goal, before a further loan spell at SV Wehen Wiesbaden brought 25 league outings in the same division. A loan to NK Varaždin in the Croatian league followed, and in July 2022 the move was made permanent for a reported fee of €100,000, with Stanić making 31 league appearances for the Croatian club.

In September 2023 he joined FC St. Gallen on a free transfer. He passed 80 league appearances and contributed two goals, and was part of the squad that won the Swiss Cup in the 2025–26 season.

Stanić's international path has crossed two countries. Born in Germany, he was capped once for the German under-16 side in 2015, before representing Croatia, for whom he has represented the under-19 and under-23 age groups.
