Fahad Al-Mohaimeed took over the presidency of Al Saqer in October 2020.
They stayed there without a single relegation, finishing third in Group B in 2024–25 before going one better. On 23 April 2026, after a 1–1 draw with Al-Jeel, Al Saqer won the penalty shoot-out 5–4 to take the Saudi Second Division title and move into the First Division League for the first time in the club's history.
The club is based in Al Basr, a district of Buraidah in the Qassim region, and plays its home matches at the King Abdullah Sport City Stadium, which it shares with Al-Taawoun and Al-Raed. Known as The Falcons, or Saqoor Al-Qassim, Al Saqer wear yellow and green.
Founded in 1983.
