Brinje-Grosuplje

Grosuplje sits south-east of Ljubljana. NK Brinje-Grosuplje was set up on 3 July 2003, legally separate from its predecessor, and the Football Association of Slovenia keeps its records apart from the old club's history rather than treating one as a continuation of the other.

Promotion came in stages. The 3. SNL West title in 2021–22 lifted the club into the 2. SNL, securing a first-ever place in the 1. SNL for 2026–27. Along the way came a run in the Slovenian Football Cup that took them past Maribor and Olimpija Ljubljana, both top-flight sides, and into the final at Stadion Z'dežele in Celje. There, on 13 May 2026, NK Aluminij won it 1–0; Bamba Susso scored in the 78th minute, and defender Samo Matjaž had already been sent off eight minutes earlier, leaving the Grosupeljčani to see out the rest of the final a man short.

Nikola Jovićević, a 22-year-old forward on loan from Mura, was the man behind much of it, finishing as top scorer with 15 goals in the cup campaign alone. Around him, goalkeeper Jaka Zrnec saved a penalty against Maribor before signing his first professional contract in June 2026, and midfielder Kevin Benkič turned down interest from both Olimpija and Maribor to stay.

Home games are still played in front of around 500 people at Športni park Brinje.
