Höör sits inland in Skåne, and handball there means H 65. Founded in 1965, the women's team spent decades as a regional name before a promotion in 2011, under coach Niklas Harris, put them into the top flight for the first time.

Europe came first: in the 2013/2014 season H 65 Höör beat Issy-Paris Hand to lift the EHF Challenge Cup. The bigger shift came under Ola Månsson, who took over from Harris in 2016. The following season his side beat IK Sävehof 27–25 in the Swedish Championship final. Höör could not repeat that title — finals in 2018, 2021 and 2023 all ended in defeat, twice again to Sävehof — but the rivalry had by then become the defining fixture of their season, sharpened further by a Skåne derby against Kristianstad HK. The Swedish Cup finally went their way in 2025, again against Sävehof.

Behind those results ran a squad built substantially around the Swedish national team, with players such as Jessica Ryde and Cassandra Tollbring.

None of it has needed a big room. Björkvikshallen holds 600, and it is there, in red and white, that Höör has measured itself against Sävehof.
