The 2021 USL Championship final ended 3:1 against Tampa Bay Rowdies. The club had already shown what it could do three years earlier, topping the Western Conference in the regular season in 2018.

The club that lifted that trophy was not the club that started out. It began in 2010 as Los Angeles Blues, one of the founding members of USL Pro, and spent its first years attached to a city it did not really play in. The name changed to Orange County Blues in 2015. Two years later James Keston bought the club and it became Orange County SC — the one that stuck.

Home is Championship Soccer Stadium, inside Great Park in Irvine. It holds 5000. The club play in gold and black.

They have never adopted a nickname.
