UE Santboiana

Baldiri Aleu Torres went to study in Toulouse and came home with a game Spain barely knew. He founded the club in Sant Boi de Llobregat on 4 July 1921, which makes it the oldest rugby club in the country. The ground carries his name. The club moved there in 1981, after years of playing in various places, among them the Barcelona Hippodrome.

The years that shaped the club's reputation came in the late 1950s. From 1958 to 1962 La Santboiana won the Copa del Rey five times running. By then the club had already taken the cup in 1931 and 1933, before the sport had much of a following. It won the trophy 12 times in all.

The league came later. The first División de Honor title arrived in 1984, and the club won it twice in the mid-1990s and again in 2005 and 2006. Alberto Malo spent 25 years in the shirt, from 1975 to 2000. He captained Spain at the 1999 World Cup, and he is the name most often attached to the club's long run of players in the national side. Marco Pinto, an international hooker, came through the youth academy, and Oriol Ripol played on the wing for Spain.

The players wear blue and white, with yellow socks that nod to the Catalan flag. Their fixture with Club de Rugby El Salvador is called the "Clásico del rugby español".

The club added the Supercopa de España in 2022. The last of the twelve Copa del Rey wins came in 2017.
