Fc Copenhagen Women

The lion on the shirt is the same lion that plays at Parken, but F.C. Copenhagen Women have never set foot there. Since taking shape in 2024, the team has stayed at Vanløse Idrætspark, a ground with room for 10,000 and 3,600 seats, built for its own crowd rather than borrowed from the men's side.

The club exists on paper as F.C. København Kvindefodbold A/S, registered on 8 May 2024 as a subsidiary under FCK P/S. It did not start from nothing: the licence came from taking over FC Damsø's women's squad, an arrangement backed jointly by KB and B1903, the two founding clubs that already stand behind the men's team.

The first match, a cup tie against Svogerslev Boldklub on 14 August 2024, ended 7-1. Three days later came the home debut, a 3-0 win over B73 Slagelse watched by 5,165 people at Vanløse — a record crowd for a women's match in Denmark. That season, spent in the 2. division, ended with promotion to the 1. division for 2025-26.

Captain Ida Skovbo, capped for Denmark and previously at Kolding Q, has led the side known as Løvinderne, white and blue like the men's team, through its opening year. There are no trophies yet. What there is, still, is the paperwork from that May morning in 2024, the day the club came into being as its own company rather than an extension of anyone else's.
