Santa Cruz Women

Club Voleibol Cuesta Piedra open the 2026-27 season in the Liga Iberdrola, Spanish women's volleyball's top division. They earned the place by finishing as runners-up in Superliga Femenina 2. Their best finish in the top flight is 11th, in 2010-11.

Promotion came in the same year as the Copa de la Princesa de Voleibol. Cuesta Piedra beat UCAM Torrejón 3-1 in the final and became the first club from the Canary Islands to win the cup.

The club was set up on 30 September 1986 so that girls from the municipal schools of Santa Cruz de Tenerife had a team to play for. More than 300 players now pass through its youth categories. In 1995 economic difficulties forced the senior side down to the lower divisions. The climb back was slow, and the top flight was reached again in 2009. The 11th place followed shortly after.

Cuesta Piedra share the Liga Iberdrola with another Tenerife side, Tenerife Libby's La Laguna, formerly CV Haris. Matches between the two are known locally as the Derby Tinerfeño, and they are now on the league calendar.
