Sardarapat

The club began as a youth academy in Armavir, set up by the Armenian-French sports lawyer Sevan Karian with backing from the businessmen Nubar Afeyan and Joseph Urgulyan. RC Lens signed on as technical partner and supplied the methodology, and the academy also worked with Atlético Madrid's own youth setup.

That changed in 2025, when Sardarapat registered a professional team and entered the Armenian First League. The 2025/26 season ended with the title: 76 points from 30 matches, 24 of them won, and a place in the Premier League. Much of the squad came from those same academy groups, alongside the club's first signing, Ishkhan Darbinyan, on loan from Pyunik.

The division's leading scorer, on 30 goals, was one of the club's own coaches, Hamlet Minasyan. The first team is run by the Frenchman Alexandre Torres, assisted by Zaven Badoyan, who played up front for the Armenian national side.

Tuff red, for the volcanic stone Armenian churches are built from; beige for hospitality; dark blue for loyalty to inheritance. The badge carries the winged bull from the Sardarapat Memorial, and the motto reads BORN IN VICTORY.

Home is Armavir Stadium — also known locally as the City Stadium, or by the name of Hakob Tonoyan — rebuilt in 2021 and holding around 3,300.
