Mika

Mika Stadium sits in Yerevan with room for 7,250. For most of its life the team played out of Ashtarak, and the move to the city only came in 2007.

Before that the club went through a string of identities. Founded in 1985 as Olympia, it became Kasakh Ashtarak in 1990, spent a couple of seasons as Aragats, then reverted to Kasakh before Mikhail Baghdasaryan bought the club in 1999 and put his own name on it — Mika-Kasakh, later shortened simply to Mika in 2000.

Domestically the league title always sat just out of reach: second place four times, third on three more occasions, never top. The Armenian Cup told a different story. Mika won it six times through the 2000s, a run that made the club's name synonymous with the competition.

Financial trouble ended the run in 2016, and the club dropped out of professional football altogether. It took until 2022 for Mika to return, entering the First League.
