Sokol/Post SV Women

Schwechat's then-mayor, Rudolf Tonn, pushed for a volleyball club in the town. In 1990 it appeared as SV Schwechat Sokol, formed by a merger with TJ Sokol V Wien. It also took over a joint team arrangement with Post SV Wien. Sokol V Wien won Austrian championships every year from 1953 to 1959. Post SV Wien then won six in a row, from 1973 to 1978.

The name kept changing with the sponsors. It was SG SV Schwechat/PSV Telekom in 2001, Kuoni from 2002, and since 2017 VB NÖ Sokol Post. The titles kept coming whatever the name. From 2002 to 2017 the team won the Austrian championship every year, 16 in a row.

After 2017 the next championship came only in 2025, and 2026 followed. Jasmin Haslinger was named MVP of that 2026 final. In these years the games that matter most are against UVC Holding Graz and ASKÖ Steelvolleys Linz-Steg, the club's main rivals.

The 2026 title was also the first won in the new Sport Arena Wien, which opened on 5 September 2025 and seats 3,000. Before that the team played at the Ballsportgymnasium Erdberg in Vienna.
