The club that plays those derbies did not exist twenty years ago.
The furthest it has reached beyond its own borders came in the 2011 Copa Sudamericana under Saúl Maldonado, when Mauricio Chalar scored against Liga de Quito.
Home is the Estadio Olímpico Florentino Oropeza, known locally as El Fortín, with room for 10,000. The nickname Los Colosos de Sorte comes from the Sorte district of San Felipe; the white, red and blue of the shirt has earned the side a second one, Equipo Tricolor.
What the club has never managed is a cup run of any length: the Copa Venezuela has taken them no further than the last 16, in 2016, where Zulia FC put them out.
