Mount Vernon sits at the southern edge of Westchester County. Westchester SC changed that when the county was awarded a USL League One franchise on 9 May 2024, and home matches now go on at The Stadium at Memorial Field, a ground that holds around 3,900.
The crest carries Hudson Blue and Sound Blue alongside gold, the two blues drawn from the Hudson River on one side of the county and Long Island Sound on the other, the gold a nod to the county's own nickname, the Golden Apple .
The club played its first season in 2025 and finished 14th in USL League One.
