Singapore NBL 2026/27

The National Basketball League (NBL) stands as the top-tier men's basketball competition in Singapore. Founded in 2011 by the Basketball Association of Singapore (BAS), it operates as the premier league in the country's pyramid, sitting above Division 2 and Division 3. The league currently features 10 clubs in Division 1, including Adroit Sports, Chong Ghee, Eng Tat Hornets, SBA, SG Basketball, and Siglap. The season structure consists of a regular round-robin phase followed by a knockout playoff stage involving the top teams. The 2025 season concluded with Allinton Eng Tat Hornets declared champions after their opponents, Siglap, withdrew from the final following the disqualification of the original finalist, Adroit, for fielding suspended players amidst a match-fixing investigation. Eng Tat Hornets hold the record for the most titles (4), having also won as SBPHK Hornets. Promotion from Division 2 to Division 1 is determined by the Division 2 championship, though specific relegation rules for Division 1 are not clearly defined in public records. The league is distinct from community-driven competitions like the REKT League by its formal FIBA-aligned structure and semi-professional nature. The league is broadcast on BAS TV and has not had a major title sponsor name change, though the most successful club has rebranded multiple times.
