BBC Troistorrents Women

Three national championships between 1997 and 2003 built BBC Troistorrents into a notable presence in women's basketball in Valais, with two Swiss Cup wins in 2003 and 2004 following close behind. A relegation cost the club its top-flight status for a spell, and the way back ran through the second tier: the NLB title in 2016, paired with SBL Cup wins that year and the next, put the team back among the SB League Women's regular contenders rather than as a name from the archives.

The club took shape in 1985 around a group of enthusiasts in Troistorrents, in the Chablais region of Valais, and grew separately from the men's professional side in Monthey. Home games are played at the Salle du Reposieux in Monthey.

Ainhoa Holzer's two seasons there, from 2020 to 2022, ended with her named Sixth Woman of the Year and Most Improved Player in the same season, before she left for NCAA basketball at Purdue and then West Virginia. The current roster for the EuroCup Women campaign is built around captain Alice Mauler, with Dounya Bourhani, Alexis Whitfield and Nadia Constantin filling out a squad drawn partly from the club's own academy, which still runs six teams from mini-basket up.

Cup finals have not always gone the club's way — defeats in 1997, 2004, 2007, 2011, 2012, 2017, 2022 and 2024 outnumber the wins. The fixture carries the habit of turning up in finals against the same opponent, year after year.
