In Broni, the local wine cooperative, the Cantina Sociale di Broni, changed how the women's basketball team looked. It became main sponsor in 1997-98, and the original white and red gave way to white and green.

The team began in July 1993 as Pallacanestro Femminile Broni '93, started by a group of friends, Gianluca Caraffini among them, after Polisportiva Broni had dissolved.

The best stretch came after the club won the Coppa Italia di Serie A2 in 2015-16. The following season it was in Serie A1, and it stayed there for six consecutive seasons, through 2021-22.

In 2022 the club was re-founded as ASD Broni 2022 (Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica, an amateur sports association).
