The women's section at Sesto San Giovanni started inside a hiking and athletics club, Gruppo Escursionistico Atletico Sestese, when 25 girls signed up for basketball in October 1955. The club still carries that acronym into its name, now presented as Allianz Geas Sesto San Giovanni, and still plays in red and black.

What followed in the 1970s is the reason older fans still bring the club up. Under president Azeglio Maumary, Geas won eight Italian championships between 1969–70 and 1977–78, a run that also produced a Coppa Italia in 1973 and, in 1977–78, the European Champions Cup — the first time a club from Western Europe had taken that title. Mabel Bocchi was named the world's best player in 1975 during those years, and Rosi Bozzolo's part in that era was recognised in 2012 with her induction into the Italian Basketball Hall of Fame.

The rivalry that still defines the club's calendar predates none of this and outlasts it: matches against Repower Sanga Milano are billed as the Derby Milanese, regardless of where either side sits in the table that season.

Geas play their home games at the Pala Nat. The 2024–25 season took the team through Serie A1, the EuroCup and the Coppa Italia, finishing sixth in the regular-season table domestically. Tinara Moore led the scoring that year, with Cinzia Zanotti in charge on the bench and Valeria Trucco among the squad's regulars.
