Djurgarden

In the summer of 2015, Ronnie Christensen, Rick Bergström, Stefan Bergman, Goran Popov and Jan Walkenström registered the association separately from the parent club, which had existed since 1891 as a multi-sport body. The women's side followed two years later, in 2017.

Dee Ayuba was a key figure in that title run. The top flight lasted a single season: Djurgården withdrew in May 2020 over money problems, and no senior national title followed.

Brännkyrkahallen, the home ground in Stockholm, holds 500 people; renovation work has sent youth sessions and the odd fixture over to Tellusborgshallen or Åkeshovshallen instead. Red, yellow and blue, the parent club's colours, carried over to the basketball section, along with the nickname Djurgår'n.

Games against Blackeberg Basket and AIK Basket count as the Stockholm Derby, with Södertälje BBK marked as the other rival worth watching. Since dropping out of the Basketligan, the club has stayed in the Superettan, competing there as of the 2024–25 season.
