Malbas

Heleneholms Sporthall seats 400, and on most match nights that is roughly the whole point of watching Malbas. The hall in Malmö has been home to a club stitched together in the spring of 1975, when two existing associations in the city, Malmö Basket Förening and BBK Herkules, merged into one. For five years in the 1990s a sponsorship deal with the roofing firm Mataki AB put the team out in white and blue; the arrangement ended and the club went back to the red and yellow it had worn before and has worn since.

Malbas has spent most of its history in the lower reaches of Swedish basketball, and its one run at the top flight, the Basketligan, lasted two seasons, 2015/16 and 2016/17. The first of those produced the best result the club has managed: a place in the quarter-finals. That squad included Josh Ritchart, an American forward who arrived in January 2017 partway through the second Basketligan campaign, and Andrée Michelsson, who played his first senior minutes for Malbas before moving on to Iceland. No league title or cup sits in the club's history, and none was expected to.
