In 2000, Grodno-93 beat Kazan UNICS to reach the group stage of the Korać Cup.

Alexander Borisov coached the side to six consecutive championships between 1998 and 2004. The club had started in 1993 on a professional footing. Before that, the same team had played the national championship as Universitet, briefly as Grodno, and then as Krosh in 1993/1994.

Andrei Vasilevka is the player most closely tied to those years. He played from 1993 to 1996, returned in 1997 and stayed until 2009, and won eight championships. In 2011 he took over as head coach. Vladimir Sharko, a 14-time Belarusian champion, also played for the club in the mid-1990s.

Players have come through the Grodno SDSHOR-7 academy, which is closely associated with the club. In 2012 the professional team was merged with the local organisations Olimpia, Viktoriya and SDUSHOR-7 into the state institution BC Prineman'e. The men's team kept the Grodno-93 name.

Basketball is played in a separate universal hall inside the Ice Palace of Sports. The 2,487 capacity is the figure for ice hockey. Matches against Grodno-GrSU are the Grodno derby, and Borisfen of Mogilev are the club's main rival.

The Korać Cup group stage in 2000 remains the club's furthest reach in Europe.
