Hapoel Rishon LeZion Women

It was the first league title in the club's history. The team wears red and white.

The title came 22 years after the club was founded in 2004. In its first three seasons Hapoel Rishon played in the National League (Liga Leumit) and each time finished one game short of promotion. The step up came in 2010/11, and not by winning. The team lost the promotion final to Hapoel Ma'ayan Baruch, but ASA Jerusalem withdrew from the top flight and left a vacancy, which Rishon LeZion took.

Once in the Premier League, the team stayed. It finished 5th in its first season, 7th in the next and 6th in 2012/13, the year it signed the WNBA player Riqwana Williams. In 2014 the club's youth department merged with that of Maccabi Rishon LeZion.

The first major trophy arrived in 2021/22, when the team won the Israeli State Cup (Gav HaMedina).

The club began as a National League side that kept falling one game short of promotion, and it reached the top of the league from that same city.
