«Unionistas»
Oliveirense's players lifted the Taça da Liga again, a trophy the club from Oliveira de Azemeis had already collected four times before — proof that the small town's basketball side has never treated a cup run as a novelty.
The basketball section split off from the wider União Desportiva Oliveirense in 1933, and forced its way into the conversation at the top of Portuguese basketball. The breakthrough came in 2017-18 and 2018-19, when the team known to its own supporters as Unionistas won back-to-back national championships.
Before the league titles, there was already a marker of intent: the Taça de Portugal won in 2002-03, followed in the same season by the Taça da Liga.
Games are played at the Pavilhão Dr.
