Pruszkow Women

Hala MOS is a school sports centre on ul. Juliana Gomulińskiego, run by the Międzyszkolny Ośrodek Sportowy, and it is where the Pruszków women play. The team's yellow and red colours fill a hall.

The team exists because another one stopped. PTS Lider Pruszków, also known as Matizol Lider, had held a place in the top flight, and it withdrew over money and licensing problems. In 2019 MKS Pruszków took over the senior women's place in the 1. Liga. Head coach Jacek Rybczyński and a large part of the roster crossed over with it, so the players who turned out for the new club were the ones who had been playing for the old one. The nickname, Liderki, keeps the predecessor's name alive.

The new club had to earn its way back up. In 2020/21 it reached the 1. Liga Kobiet final and lost it to SKK Polonia Warszawa. Matches between the two are billed as the Masovia Derby. A year later, in 2022, Pruszków won the playoffs and went up to the top division, then known as the Energa Basket Liga and now the Orlen Basket Liga. The run to the final, and then the win, brought Pruszków back to the level where Lider had left off. The club now plays in the second tier, the 1. Liga.

Men's basketball in the town has a much older story under Znicz Pruszków, with two Polish titles. The women's club has no part in that history. It began as a way to keep Lider's players and coach together in a Pruszków shirt, in a school hall.
