In the Energa Basket Liga Women, Wisła Kraków carries a status no other side in the division can claim: it is the most decorated women's basketball club in Poland.
The women's section grew out of the wider TS Wisła Kraków, founded in 1906, and was set up on its own in 1946. For sponsorship reasons it spent 2003 to 2020 competing as Wisła Can-Pack, and more recently, in 2023/2024, as Wisła Orlen Południe.
The club's peak abroad came in 2010, when it reached the Final Four of the EuroLeague Women and finished fourth.
Home matches are played in front of 2,000 people at Hala Wisły.
Domestically the record has few equals: Wisła has been crowned Polish champion 25 times.
