The 2026/27 season starts for the Raiders Tirol basketball side with a change on the bench. Home games are played in front of at most 400 people at the Landessportzentrum Tirol in Innsbruck, a hall also known as the Wettkampfhalle.

The basketball section is much younger than the name on the shirt. Raiders Tirol, also styled SWARCO Raiders Tirol, is first an American football club. A small group of fans and volunteers started it in 1992, and it entered competition in 1993. Basketball was added in October 2018 for the 2018/19 season.

The first season went to plan. The team won the Tiroler Landesliga, which made it Tiroler Meister, and in 2019 it moved up to the Austrian Basketball Bundesliga 2, the Zweite Liga. The youth teams kept pace. The U19 side took the Tyrolean title in 2019 and again in 2020, and the U16s won it in 2020.

The second tier was harder. In 2019/20 the team finished third in the playdowns. A year later it reached the playoff semifinals. It has also entered the Austrian Basketball Cup.

For 2026/27 the head coach is Daniel Diaz, who takes over from Amir Medinov.
