The 2008/09 season ended with KOŠ Celovec at the top of the Austrian 2nd Bundesliga.

The name carries both the Slovene and the German name of the city, Celovec and Klagenfurt. Games are played in the Sporthalle St. Peter on Reichenberger Straße. When the pandemic capped crowds, Basketball Austria announced a cup match there with 150 spectators allowed, each with a fixed, assigned seat.

Another Carinthian title arrived in 2024, the third for the men's team and the first since 2008. That September, Polfin became the club's main sponsor, and the side now plays as Polfin KOŠ Celovec. Rok Heiligstein coaches the men. Samuel Seher is captain, and Simon Sienčnik is among the players who have featured recently. Stefan Hribar is sporting director.

The club also runs a women's team, managed by Dragan Sliskovic, in the Basketball Damen 2. Liga.
