Spirou Ladies start another season in the Top Division Women 1, the Belgian women's premier league, with a local first still recent. On 25 October 2025 they met CEP Ladies in the first Derby Carolo and won 70–62.

Spirou lost the Belgian Cup final in 1981 and again in 1984. In 1989 the cup came back, with a 59–41 win over Osiris Denderleeuw.

That age matters here, because the women's team came first. It began in 1945 under the name JSRE Ladies. Fernand Ballens, a former mayor of Mont-sur-Marchienne, set it up with André Ghyselinck. Today the club goes by "Les Spirou Ladies", or simply "Les Ladies".
